You are seeing into the behind the scenes of the Blond Ambition Tour.
This is straight from the Madonna's designer at the time - John Coulter
If you look at many pictures and tourbooks from the 80's he was the designer and layout of images and graphics.
He put together the VIP Concert passes and IDs.
He picked images and worked with Herb Ritts and put a storyboard of passes together
for Madonna to approve.
This gorgeous and huge measures 27 INCHES and 20 INCHES when opened.
It contains a prototype of 5 different VIP and backstage passes.
Each would be a laminate or a sticker and different colors for different venues and
tickets.  There is a rice paper covering the images with notes and details of what it will be and what it is used for. Once you lift the rice paper, you see a sample of all the VIP passes and tickets and
backstage entry. Just imagine the hands that this went through and passed to approve.
The outside of the storyboard has JOHN COULTER DESIGNS card.
A truly incredible behind the scenes look and design from one of Madonna's biggest concerts ever.
