Vintage 1947 Control Line Model Airplane P-47 THUNDERBOLT Ignition O&R .60

This old War Bird is "as last flown"  (control line) in the late 1940's. Perhaps an old Berkeley kit. 41" wing span, powered by an inverted ignition  O&R .60 engine, that still turns over with good compression. Includes original fuel tank, coil, condenser, Champion plug, Cable controlled ignition kill switch, working bell crank, balloon tires and a  old flashlight  case ( made to look like  bomb) that holds the ignition  batteries. Original Pa's builder name and address is still written inside the cockpit in case it got away . Looks like a  "Arrow Head"   insignia  "  painted on the side ?  Missing only the top of the engine  cowling. Photo's reflect it's 68 years later condition. Auctioned for display as is, or for restoration.  Don't ask us to cut the engine off for you !  . Always interested in  1940's tether race car items.  . Located in Adamstown,Pa.
